This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION AFTERNOON TOTAL on the OVER Red Sox/Indians.
These clubs have been playing to some lower-scoring affairs in this series, but the finale on Sunday afternoon sets up as a classic SLUG-FEST in my opinion.
The Red Sox go with Tanner Houck, who is 0-3 with a 3.43 ERA. He most recently allowed three runs off eight hits over four innings in a no-decision to the Twins on Tuesday. He wasn't sharp at all, needing 92 pitches to retire 14 batters.
The Indians go with Eli Morgan, who is 2-6 with a 5.98 ERA, and who most recently allowed four runs off eight hits over four innings in a loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.
Both starters have been all over the map with their game-to-game consistency and I expect that trend to carry over here.
Look for each to get the hook early and for that to help in driving this total OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
