The Minnesota Twins are coming off a 7-3 win over the Pirates yesterday. The Twins did it again with offensive production and pitching. Jose Berrios was good again, allowing one run on four hits and he struck out six in six innings of work. The Twins will hand the ball to Randy Dobnak for today's start. He is 1-1 with a 1.00 ERA and 7 strikeouts this season.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are just the team we thought the would be-TERRIBLE. They are coming off a 7-3 loss to the Twins as they got no help from the mound. Joe Musgrove allowed five runs on six hits in just 3.1 innings. He is now 0-3 on the season. Trevor Williams gets the start for the Pirates. He is 0-2 this season with a 5.40 ERA and 9 strikeouts.
Dobnak has been good this year and is facing a team that has not been hitting well. The Twins have no problem pitching and they are facing a bad starting pitcher and the Pirates pen is not much better. I am looking at the value in this one playing the Twins on the run line.
