THE PROFESSOR’S NBA SUPER BLOWOUT!
(NBA) Oklahoma City vs. Phoenix, 08/10/2020 2:30 PM, Score: 101 - 128
Point Spread: 5.00 | -101.00 Oklahoma City (Away)
Result: Loss
Oklahoma City will be playing the second game of a back to back after beating the Wahington Wizards 121-103 yesterday. The Thunder entered Sunday night fifth in the Western Conference, half a game behind fourth-seeded Houston and half a game ahead of sixth-place Utah. Darius Bazley led Oklahoma City past Washington with 23 points off the bench. As a team, they are putting up 110.4 points a game and on the defensive end, they are giving up 108.1 points a contest. The offense is led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 19.1 points a game. Danilo Gallinari adds 19 points and Chris Paul averages 17.8 points. Steve Adams, Nerlens Noel, and Andre Roberson all missed Sunday’s game and are questionable for today.

Phoenix has not lost a game since returning to the bubble and is coming off a 119-112 win over Miami in their last contest. The Suns have won five straight and are the only unbeaten team in seeding games. They entered Sunday tied for 10th in the West, two games behind eighth-place Memphis, and half a game behind Portland for ninth. Against Miami, Devin Booker had 35 in the win. The Sun's offense is putting 113 points a game and on the defensive end, they are giving up 113.7 points a game. The offense is led by Devin Booker 26.4 points, Kelly Oubre Jr. adds 18.7 points and Deandre Ayton chips in 18.9 points. Oubre Jr. continues to rehab after surgery for a torn meniscus and is questionable at best here.

Oklahoma City has a playoff spot locked up while Phoenix is still trying to fight with several other teams for a shot at the play-in scenario. Oklahoma City is playing the second game of a back to back so fatigue could be a factor against a hungrier team. I am taking the rested team with something to play for.

Play on Phoenix.
