Wacha is winless in his last three starts and has been stung by the long ball in each. The four homers he allowed in those outings accounted for six of the eight runs scored off him in that span. Stripling is undervalued here as the 6'3 pitcher from Pennsylvania who went to Texas A&M starts at home for the Dodgers. Note, he had a no hitter going in his last start before giving up 1 hit and 1 run to Toronto in a 4-2 win for his ballclub. Holding that potent offense was pretty impressive on 85 pitches. Note, this is the same guy that held the Giants to no runs on 7 innings of work in his first start of the season before regressing and now picking it back up of late. Stripling has yet to pick up a win this year as well and he likely has the motivation to get it done here against a quality team at home.
