The Pirates had to go to Colorado for a makeup game yesterday. Pittsburgh got blasted 11-5 by the Rockies and now return home to immediately resume their home stand. Between the long flight and the high elevation I think that will take its toll on the Pirates. Pitt has now lost 9 of their last 13 games and I see great line value here. Gerrit Cole has been getting hit harder of late and that is going to catch up with him soon. Cole has given up 32 hits in his last 25 innings of work spanning his last 4 starts. Michael Wacha has done well in his last 2 starts as he has given up only 10 hits while striking out 10 in the 11 innings spanning these two outings. Unlike the Pirates, the Cardinals have been heating up as they have won 8 of their last 12 games.
