10* College Game of the Month
(NCAAF) Stanford vs. Notre Dame,
Point Spread: -5.00 | -102.00 Notre Dame (Home)
Result: Win
I think ND has the far better team this year. Stanford HC David Shaw is very conservative and the Irish defense is tough and should be the difference on Saturday.

Notre Dame is ranked No. 8 and head coach Brian Kelly surprised many by benching senior QB Brandon Wimbush in favor of Ian Book before last weekend's game against Wake Forest. That decision paid off nicely, as Book accounted for five TD's.

The Fighting Irish are a team that is starting to build up a lot of the wins on the year and have managed to get a lot of momentum. The offense for the Fighting Irish has been able to get a total of 416.5 yards with 231.8 yards in the air and 184.8 yards on the ground. Leading the Fighting Irish passing attack has been Brandon Wimbush with a total of 589 yards. The ground attack has been carried out mainly by Tony Jones Jr who has managed to get 263 yards. The Fighting Irish offense has been able to get a total of 31.5 points per game.

The Fighting Irish have been a scrappy team on the year so far.

Not to mention the Irish defense against the pass is quite a bit better than the Ducks and should be able to contain the Cardinals passing attack. Once the Irish do secure the lead, though, the Cardinals will see a fairly steady dose of Jones as the Irish bring home a win here at home on Saturday night.
