Valparaiso continues their transition into the MVC this season after having less than ideal results in their newer surroundings thus far. Valparaiso is a great addition to the MVC, but the conference has definitely lost some of its lust in recent years with Creighton and Wichita State moving on.

Western Kentucky was a consistent cover for us last year as the Hilltoppers were a serious threat coming out of CUSA. WKU adds talent to some returning experience and this group has the pieces to perhaps make a run at an at-large bid in 2018-19. Western Kentucky didn't get off to their ideal start getting beaten pretty badly on the road by Washington, but the Toppers bounced back in their last outing getting past UT Martin by a final of 86-71.

Expectations have been damped a bit after WKU's opening loss to Washington, but the Hilltoppers still have a lot of games left to prove their worth this season. We like Western Kentucky to come through against an average Valparaiso opponent as WKU goes on to cover this moderate spread this evening with a 5pm ET scheduled tip=off.
