(NFL) Colts (IND) vs. Patriots (NE),
Point Spread: 2.50 | -110.00 Patriots (NE) (Home)
Result: Win
Last week’s game got away from the Patriots, but New England has been a respectable defense with an offense playing above its season numbers right now with the switch to Drake Maye at quarterback. The Colts get credit for a difficult schedule this season facing seven top 10 teams, but they have only one win in those games, unable to capitalize on stretch or marginal play from the division leading Texans. Anthony Richardson is 29th in QBR this season as his play has been inconsistent and he has been a risk for turnovers while completing only 47 percent of his passes on the season. Maye in contrast has a top 20 QBR, completing 66 percent of his passes with 10 touchdown throws. The COLTS have only averaged 20.2 points per game this season and the team’s highest scoring performance of 34 points came behind Joe Flacco. Indianapolis has not been a road favorite of more than -2.5 since 2022 and hasn’t won in that role since 2021. It will be cold and windy for Richardson who played at Florida and leads an indoor dome team as the Patriots should be considered a serious threat for a minor upset.
