(MLB) Baltimore vs. Chi White Sox,
Money Line: 100.00 Chi White Sox (Home)
Result: Loss
The WhiteSox only had 3 hits last night and their top 4 batters went a combined 1-14. Chicago is tough at home especially in night games. I think they'll bounce back behind Jose Quintana with his 3.14 ERA. The left-hander gave up five runs in 3 2/3 innings of a 5-3 loss in his first start versus Baltimore in 2012, but has yielded four and fanned 23 over 21 innings to go 1-1 in three since. All four runs have come on solo homers, most recently one from Pearce in seven innings of a 4-2 victory June 24. The ball really jumps out of his hand and he has good stuff. Hitters have said that it is tough to get in a rhythm when you don't see the ball behind his back. Quintana went 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA during a nine-start stretch prior to posting a 4.38 ERA while losing his last two. He is back at home where he is more comfortable now.
Orioles starter Tillman hasn't lost on the road but his ERA is close to 5.00 as he gives up a lot of hits and runs and has gotten a few breaks. Look for the Chicago WhiteSox to get the best of him today and get the win at home on Tuesday night.
